My GT28R turbos had a rubber 0-ring (there is a galley milled out for it, came stock like that from garrett) along the compressor seal. My GT28RS do not,(just like your t04b compressor housing). I will have to use the copper seal liike you mentioned. Just thought, I'd share for future references. How did that HKS intake do for the testing?
 NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin.
